Lena's Birthday
“*Groan*, I hate school,” whined Kayla.
“Kayla, we’ve been back at school for about two weeks in tomorrow, would you please stop whining now!” said Stephanie.
“You can’t even complain about the you-know-what’s now, because we’ve already fought five,” said Nikki
“Yeah, those two at camp, that pizza guy, and those two people at the mall,” said Diane.
“So stop now,” said Stephanie,
“Yeah, seriously, now it’s too annoying,” said Lola.
“Okay, sorry,” said Kayla. After school Nikki went home with Kayla,
“Thanks, my parents are out of town for the week, so I thought I could stay with your family for the week,” said Nikki.
“That’s cool, come on, I think Lena might be getting too bored,” said Kayla.
“Yeah,” said Nikki.
They reached home and ran upstairs,
“Lena, you can come out now,” said Kayla.
“We’re back, come on,” said Nikki. Lena came out of her house, but she didn’t look very happy, in fact she was looking extremely sad. The girls were worried,
“Hey,” said Lena.
“What’s wrong?” asked Nikki.
“Huh? Oh, nothing, just tired,” said Lena. She gave a weak laugh,
“Okay, but well, then you should rest, anyways, we have to do our work,” said Kayla.
“Yeah, so we’ll tell you when we’re done,” said Nikki.
“Okay,” said Lena. And she went back inside.
“What do you think happened?” asked Kayla.
“I don’t know, let me think,” said Nikki. The girls thought for a moment,
“I got it!” cried Kayla.
“What?” said Nikki.
“Remember? Lena said that it was her birthday in two weeks,” said Kayla.
“Oh yeah, and that was two weeks ago tomorrow,” said Nikki.
“Exactly, so that means that tomorrow is her birthday,” said Kayla. Nikki’s eyes widened in shock,
“WHAT!” she cried.
“Yeah, we should give her a party for all her hard work,” said Kayla.
“Yeah, we should, I’ll call the girls, tonight we can set it up, and tomorrow, Lena’s in for a surprise,” said Nikki. Nikki dialed the rest of the girls over to Kayla’s house.
They quickly reached and immediately started on ideas for the party,
“Okay, so it’s set, one of us has to keep Lena out of her house for about one hour so we can set it up in there,” said Lola.
“Perfect. So who’s going to keep her away?” said Stephanie.
“I think Di should do it,” said Nikki.
“Me?” asked Diane.
“Yeah, you are the first one that Lena befriended, so you should do it,” said Kayla. Stephanie and Lola agreed,
“Okay then, I guess I will,” said Diane.
“Yes, so now, I think we should go we all have homework,” said Lola.
“Yeah, us too,” said Stephanie.
“Bye guys, see you tomorrow,” said Diane.
“Okay, but don’t tell her, very important,” said Nikki. All of a sudden Lena popped out, the girls were scared that she heard their conversation,
“Tell who about what?” she asked.
“Nothing, school stuff,” said Lola.
“Wait, why are you guys here?” said Lena.
“Um, we just needed help with homework and such,” said Diane nervously.
“Okay, so bye,” said Stephanie. And the girls quickly ran away.
