Going Camping
“Wow, it feels so great to be here again,” said Diane.
“Yeah, now come on, we have to go and assign the cabins,” said Stephanie.
“Okay, come on,” said Kayla.
When the girls had finished Kayla, Stephanie and two of the boys’ counselors went to put the bags in the cabins, and Diane, Lola, and Nikki went to give the kids a tour of the campgrounds and explain the rules. When they were finished they had lunch then a two-hour break so they could explore the camp, the girls went back to their cabins to think of something to do,
“Wow, what do you want to do? We have two hours till our first two activities then dinner, so what?” said Lola.
“Well, umm, never mind,” said Kayla.
“What? Come on,” said Diane.
“Yeah, what are you thinking?” asked Nikki.
“Well, I was thinking that we could go hiking off trail,” said Kayla.
“Hey, nice idea, but, can we do that?” said Stephanie.
“Yeah, our counselors did it when we were here last time,” said Diane.
“Okay then, it’s settled, come on, we have to hurry and put our equipment in separate bags,” said Lola.
“Okay, but I’m going to tell the teachers, my things are already packed,” said Kayla.
“I’ll come with you, my mom always makes me get extra things for the hike, and that too all in a separate bag from the rest,” said Nikki.
“Cool, come on,” said Kayla.
“Hurry up,” said Nikki. They ran outside the door while the rest were packing as fast as they could. When the girls came back everyone had just finished packing,
“Come on,” said Nikki.
“We’re ready,” said Stephanie.
“Well, the hike to the top is about 30 minutes, so I think If we stop for at least 15 more minutes we can take pictures, rest, or what ever, and when we come back, we’ll have more than 30 minutes left,” said Kayla. She adjusted her watch to ring after 45 minutes.
“Come on, let’s go,” said Diane. They all dashed out the door.
